My brain goes nuts, I only think about things that weigh heavily on my mind. I can never sleep
In early May, 2012:
a poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon polling and research on behalf of the Marijuana Policy Project. The poll used 1,000 likely voters, and not surprisingly, it concluded that an overwhelming 74% of Americans, both republican and democrat alike, agree that President Obama needs to stop his attack of state medical marijuana laws and rights. In 2008, Obama promised to cease federal intervention and action on states and individual’s that adhere to their state laws, in 2008. A very big Lie.
Obama continues to threaten state employees, using federal punishment, as well as targeting and threatening the owners of state licensed dispensaries. The DEA continue to raid dispensary’s, closing them down and stealing their plants and cannabis, which they have every licence and right to possess.
Also, in early May:
a federal budget amendment was offered to the United States House of Representatives. This amendment strived to restrict the use of the taxpayers dollars from being used to target and prosecute those who are in compliance of their state laws, such as the funding for the raids that have been occurring in California, and et cetera. California voters voiced their opinion years ago that they wanted cannabis to be legal for medical purposes. Why is our “President” doing this to the people he is supposed to govern, and protect?
Sadly, this amendment was defeated by a vote of 262:163. However, 135 Democrats and 28 republicans voted in favor of this amendment. It is nice to know there are some good souls in the house of representatives, standing up to fight for what we want, and fight for what is right.
